We were born in 1952 and she and our grandfather (Raleigh Combs) who was a school teacher took us home from the hospital when we were 3 days old. Their daughter (Jenny Combs) was our mother. At one time our mother Jenny worked at Johnson's Dept. Store in Hazard. My grand mother's brother was a engineer for the Railroad. His name was Dewey Madden. He lived in Hazard. I love these stories. I have so many memories of downtown Hazard. My grandfather and Don Fouts were good friends, and when Patti and I turned 16, the day after we went to work for Don Fouts. We served many of the railroad men and others that I will always remember. I still live near Hazard. Keep up the good memories...Penny Combs BrewerPenny Combs Brewernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4501801448727519087.post-25763115133568890942011-03-04T00:17:37.792-05:002011-03-04T00:17:37.792-05:00Wonderful story and wonderful memories.....Wonderful story and wonderful memories.....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
